Online course on Utility Models
Utility models look similar to patents, but be careful of the differences. On top of that, utility models vary from country to country. After all, there is no harmonizing treaty.

It will be an online 2 hour course during which Kay Kasper will speak about the German ‘Gebrauchsmuster’ in circa 15 minutes with a 10 minutes discussion/debriefing time afterwards. The same for Álvaro Velázquez about the Spanish ‘modelo de utilidad’ and Maja Schmitt about the Chinese utility model ‘实用新型’. Marc van der Burg will delve deeper into the question whether a Dutch ‘gebruiksmodel’ should or should not be introduced in The Netherlands.
